I think you have to be either a employee of Sony to be in the BETA or be picked to be a BETA tester on playstation forums. But I may be wrong.

I’m a very huge fan of creative games and I admit that Little Big Planet is one of the greatest creative games on this era and will rock along the greatest games of all time I hopefully wait patient for a chance to play the beta.

Ahh, I’m new in this papercraft thing and I can’t figure out how to do the mouth, I glued all the other “1″s and can’t manage to do the mouth, could you please tell me how should it stay ?

I’m having a really hard getting the mouth to work… I don’t understand where the v shaped 1 tabs are supposed to glue. Can anybody help out?

What a cool game idea… hope you guys can give the public something soon, cause playstation users are overly impatient especially due to the lack of exciting games… a year into its life…. so please help our boredom…

So the beta’s officially out, huh? It’s good to see things have come so far. I’m looking forward to LBP more than R2 at this point. Tried to make it to the PlayStation truck in Baltimore just to check out the game, but plans changed. I hope to hear a lot more next week at E3! Oh, and if you feel like making my day, you could let me in on that little beta of yours (what, you thought I’d write a whole comment and not ask?)! ^_~

oh and that A tab is still hanging out there because it took me 6 hours to figure out why it is there just glued the top the wrong way and started at the top. i initially had the mouth on the outside until i realised to push it inside.

Hey guys, I have to admit I’m very anxious for some new info on the beta as well, especially any news on how a PS3 owner could get into said beta. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping we get some answers. LittleBigPlanet is one of my highly anticipated games of 2008…give…us…it! lol

Oh, and I thought I heard some where around teh internet that users will be able to add there own custom texture for sack boys. You know, like if I took a picture of my blanket, I could put the image on my ps3 and use it as a texture. Any truth to that?

Looks like i’ll be getting my daughters crayons out for this, i’m glad i havent seen anyone on my PSN Friends list playing this - I would have to remove their toilet parts with a rusty blade. Come on October, get a bloody move on! Me and my daugther want LBP in our grubby hands.

i highly doubt id get in but it would be a great experience if i did. i love the sackboys by the way,there a great little desktop distraction.

A lot of people asking about how to get on the beta, it’s posted on the site under the “contact us” section.

One thing, I know I can’t email my “idea” to you guys, but I’ll say it here.

You’ve said you tried using 3d but it wasn’t as good as 2.5d, and I fully agree with that decision. But I would still like to see something along those lines (personally). Maybe you could go with what they did on Super Paper Mario? Use 3rd person (level specific) following along the platform, the game would be exactly the same, just with an added feature that, I think, would really contribute something special to the game play.

Anyway, I sent my CV to you, can I have a job, pleeeeease? I tell bad jokes, bake chocolate crunch (like at school) and will give you a puppy! Good times!

To get into the beta you must sign up at the EU beta website. I cant wait for this game I don’t think i have ever wanted a game so much. They just showed some of the beta creations on the gamespot live show. WOW!

god ……………. i keep watching the trailers, over, and over, and over again. i’ve got whatever trailers i can get my hands on and still have not had enough. I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME!!!! arggh!!! >_< omg this game is gonna kick sooooooooooooooooooo much ass! PS3 is gonna sell a pack load and people waiting for the PS3 to hit 399$ and for Little Big Planet to get released! you guys should do some bundles and do some Special Editions. Can you guys release a demo of this game, please? Just give me a blank room with a few customize options. You can even put before the demo “This is a work in progress and it subject to change”. Motorstorm put a demo out months before it was released and it did a lot of good. You would make a ton of people happy, and it would not only convince people who are on the fence about getting this game, but would introduced an even bigger fan base to more causal people who don’t read about games and have no clue what this game is. You could even ask someone from Sony to come up to your offices and put it together, that way you don’t have to take someone off development for it. Trust me, and when someone goes to exit the demo (like that will happen, lol) you can have some screenshots and stats like “Over 2,000 items to choose from” or something along those lines. Please take this into consideration. I mean they already have buses driving around where you can play the game, plus not everyone will get into the beta so they will still have this. You don’t even have to put online co-op in (so no server stuff), just offline co-op. This could do a lot of good for the game. I mean every time people see videos of LittleBigPlanet they get more and more excited, but if they got to play a small snippet of it they would go crazy and just want more. I swear if you put a demo out the hype for this game would double or even triple! And that’s saying a lot for how hyped this game is already. Please don’t brush off this comment like it’s nothing. It would be better than Christmas morning if I woke up Thursday to see a LBP demo waiting on the PS Store. Please, Media Molecule. Please Alex and Mark, I don’t how much longer of this I can take.

GET RID OF THE PAY FOR LEVEL IDEA I DONT EVEN CARE THAT MUCH BUT IF A PLAYER CREATES A LEVEL HE SHOULDNT HAVE THE OPTION WETHER HE HAS TO QUALIFY OR NOT TO MAKE SOME PAY FOR HIS LEVEL!

… and you folks think that they will just rethink it just because you say so? Rubbish! Look at the Appstore fot the iPhone. It works - there are still tons of free apps.

One thing I am concered though are the memory constrains. After watching one demo from e3 2008 there was a complexity bar indicating how many objects are allowed in a level. Despite the claims of Alex it filled pretty fast. I’d hate to have all this possibilities and only little place to unfold them. Also allowing only 4 players a once indicates more contrains.

then i’m not that sure anymore of buying lbp… paying for a game that you already bought… that stinks…

but if you leave that feature out… me and alot of ppl would be happy to buy lbp

Woh, there seems to be a lot of hostility/negativity in regard to the chargable content. I think it would be wise to sit back and see how it works first before criticising, you never know, it may work out great (imagine you make a mint from something you create). And even so, if it doesn’t prove popular I’m sure they will re-evalute the concept, but you’ve gotta give it a try before you make any real judgement as only then can you really have an informed opinion on the matter, at the moment it’s purely guess work.

I personally am intrigued by the idea, I’m not jumping in joy (or dispare), just takinh a step back from making a judgement until I can try it out.
