lurve, play-create-share & e3
well that was a fun e3! I really don’t do jet-lag well but the people of america (TM) didn’t seem to mind. THANKS AMERICANS! Nice burgers. We’ll post more updates about e3 soon.
Amidst all the madness on the way home, we were rather shocked to find a pile of nastygrams awaiting us. What could this mean? Did sackboy go out and throw up on someone’s new suede shoes? Ah no, it was merely a case of ye-olde-internet-crossed wires. Fear not, ye peeps of the intertubes, see here for calming balm: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=200029
but of course you’d much rather read something like this and not worry about all of that hot air…
indeed, just take a dip into any other of the articles libipl.net has been collecting, bless them. Right? Lovely. Tea. Drink it. Yummy.

Glad to hear that it will not be implemented at launch, I like the idea of “Play Create Share” more than “Play Create Sell”.

Welcome back to SUNNY (HA) UK! Nothing better than a proper cup of tea after a trip abroad.
I did send a cheerful email recently, so I hope it aint missed amidst the nasty ones!
Great showing at E3 as usual from LBP. Love the Sony Conference Presentation
I loled
Btw. HI ALEX! xD
You did great on e3 Alex! I watched it live here from Norway. Even though you looked a bit nervous, everything seemed to go well. Good job!
Great job at E3!!!!
Your level blew me away at the market section for Sony PlayStation 3.
Will we be able to download it?
Get to working on this amazing game!!
I can’t wait till it comes out and will buy it the day it comes out!
I’m gunna save up money starting now!!!
Oh, and about that whole “pay for custom level bull corn on the cob” I’m glad you sorted it out with all the gamers!
I was a bit worried when I heard that, but I see through all the lies that these people make up.
Great news! Can’t wait for the game!!
And maybe I get to see the beta? Hope so, would love to look for any flaws in the game and help the debugging process the best I can.
PSN: LeonBlade
wat about http://www.littlebigplanetguide.com a great site as it has evidence for water!!! “Dissolvable” and a jug that looks to be pouring liquid, check it out but dont for get to sign up!
I still don’t think charging for content should happen.. Ever. You’re selling a game based on community content at a $60 price after all. I do not want to see a terrible trend like this start up in the video game industry.
I am glad that this will not be implemented… at least not at launch. Pay, create, sell pretty much runs adverse to the community aspect. There will be less sharing if people are focused on getting the ability to sell their levels. I think people should be making their levels out of a love for gaming and the community as opposed to trying to get cash money.
People were honestly concerned it wouldn’t be free? I wish more people would realise that LBP is the most worry-free game on the horizon. I have no doubt in my mind about every aspect of this game being amazing
Brilliant job at E3 by the way, Alex!
Cheers!
You’re still being incredibly vague, and it’s damned worrisome. Is the content only free at the launch of the game, or the launch of the content? How long will it be free after the launch? Who gets the money? If Sony/MM gets a cut how much will that be? How do you feel about profiting off of the community’s creativity if Sony/MM gets a cut?
OK so now I’ve read the article all the way through and will need to revise my knee jerk reaction. I just worry when multi billion dollar corporations talk about monetising something.
I hope if you do decide to monetise the user created content you will take feedback from the community at large before implementing anything.
Any news concerning David Reeves retirement? It’s about time isn’t it?
That’s how gmaing forums works
Bitching about conjectures on an original and outstanding game, while preasing some cheesy copy&paste shooter.
LBP did great this E3… again.
Can’t wait ’till October
OMG SACKBOY!!!!!
Alex - how many unique objects can one typically stick in a level? I noticed the thermometer goes up more when you add new things, as opposed to adding more of what was added before, which makes sense. But how many? Also, like..how many stickers perhaps?
I was playing Garry’s Mod, and the paint just ‘runs out’ after using only a little of it.
Yeah, brillant job at E3. Made things a whole lot better and you represented us English.
Glad to see this paying for content has been dismissed, I knew it wouldn’t be as it seemed, there is potential for some payable content but only the very best.
Yay! I don’t like the idea of charging at all! I’m so happy LBP is going to have free sharing content! I hate to see myself restricted because of money and the fact that Play.Create.Share was implemented in our heads in many cool ways! I’m waiting for LBP to come out !!!
I heard ingame music was gonna dissapear, that’s a pity because alot of people really like hearing their own music when they are being creative
Though nothing will ever stop me from buying this game
HOLY CRAP!! WHERE’S ITS FREAKING WEAK POINT?!
Oops. Wrong blog.
i
want
to
play
the
game
NOW!!! >:[ …. LKDSJFLOKSWAEFRJSOFLKSJF!!
i still think charging for the content (at least user generated content) is a awful idea.
LOL! Alex always looks so proud on stage with LBP…Molecule, You are an inspiration.
