New Release Dates!
Hello,
Thanks for all of your comments and support! It’s been a tough time for gamers, LBP fans, and MM alike! but it seems that there’s only about 1 week to wait – so thankyou for your patience. It’ll be worth it!
We were waiting to hear from Sony on the new release dates and so we held off on an update until now. They’ve pulled out all the stops to keep the delay down, so now we can let you all know the details.
In the US LittleBigPlanet will begin shipping the week of October 27th and so depending how close your nearest shop is to the trucks you may have your hands on a copy that very day. We would love to hear where/who manages to get it first! Leave a comment!
In the UK, Europe, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand LittleBigPlanet should start to appear in stores no later than the week commencing Monday 3rd November. The UK has confirmed that it should be available on the 5th and no later.
In Japan we understand from SCEI that our release date has not changed, it remains the 30th October.
Some of you have asked about pre-orders and early copies. Everything should remain as before – you will get your exclusive pre-order content, we’ll go on patching the game, and everything will work as if none of this had ever happened! I think in the end, everyone will be happy.
In the coming weeks until launch, as a way of saying thanks for your patience to our loyal MM readers, we’ll make sure we’ve got some great content on this site for you, so stay tuned!
Lots of people have asked us to switch on the beta again and we looked into it at length, but now that the delay to the game is only a week, it just wasn’t technically possible to get new keys out, bring back the servers, and so on. Besides, we’ve working on some cooler ways of connecting with you lot directly, that can include those who weren’t able to get beta keys.
Wherever you’re from, thanks so much for your patience on this slightly surreal turn of events! We will keep updating this post as we get any more news. Stay tuned! The game isn’t far away now

Sorry if you havent had the concrete dates yet but are they going for a midweek/universal launch then? Usually games hit shelves on a friday in the UK… That sounds like its going to be staggered and you get the game on different days depending on how close you are to an outlet.

5th of November is an absolute joke for a UK release of a game by a UK developer. Considering the only reason I own Sony’s black box of death is LBP I feel both betrayed and disgusted by the recent turn of events. I’m starting to understand why so many others are cancelling pre-orders. I had time booked off work to spend some quality time getting to grips with the game and now it’s ruined. Thanks again Sony, thanks for nothing.
Rest assured Mm, you don’t have to “think we will be happy”. I for one am impressed with LBP, the handling of the situation and wait with open arms for the arrival of LBP in Saskatchewan.

It’s only a week, we can wait a week. I hope that all these people complaining about the delay tells you how good your game is. And congratulations for the GOTY award(I’m from the future).
glad to hear the good news. if you really want to make points and make up for it with most non-spiteful people I’m sure a few costumes/items that were planned to be premiums would cause everyone to forget this whole thing much faster and easier… just a suggestion

The lack of an extended beta or demo is a poor call. ‘Only one week’ isn’t ‘only one week’ when that’s a week of your annual leave (not to mention from 24th October to the 5th November is 12 days…). I’m sure you have all the best of intentions, but any amount of shiny, happy bling on the website and ‘cool things’ isn’t going to make up for the game missing when people took time off for it, especially when the solution is not all that demanding. Sorting out keys is unnecessary – release it as an open download on PSN.
I was optimisitic that after this catastrophic blunder, Sony would do the right thing and get the game out to the fans in limited download form. Turns out they can’t even get that right. Maybe MM can make suggestions what I should with my time…
good to hear…I’m guessing the UK stores have been told “Sell them when you get them” which would be the best way, which would mean a wednesday release since thats when stock turns up.
Oh well, not long to wait….*twindles thumbs for the next 2 weeks*

I personally think this game should be released the same time as the US, how does a UK developer manage to do this, maybe I could come down your offices and pick one up?

So whens the release date for Canada, typically its Tuesdays or the 28th of October.
May be a silly question, but before it was a North American release of October 27th, now it’s just USA. Please tell me you’re including Canada in with the US for that release date.

I honestly cant wait! I already played the beta, and already played part of the recalled version and it totally rocks!!! and by the way those canceling their pre-orders….you will end up buying it…I tell you the game is worth the wait!!!
Well gotta say I got the game early and love it. Can’t wait for the servers to get turned on. In the meantime, I’m getting my level building skillz ready so I can release a doozy of a level on Day 1. I’ve got a week to build and prepare!
How about the downloadable content like the space suit and 1-st week t-shirt? Are you moving it forward to the sale dates or should we download it thes week? :S

I mean the UK is getting it on the 5th of November but from all I know so far is that the rest Europe will get it on a country by country basis, might as well be two weeks later, seeing as we EUROPE have many countries… So uhm will the week 1 goodies be available longer? Or what? Please clarify..

OMG, im getting so pissed off by this! America gets 6 days delay and we in Holland and the rest of Europe get a 12 days delay. I geuss American customers are the only thing that matters for Sony. I still have to wait 2 weeks for this game and in the second week America can play the game! Im getting so sick of Sony always letting down everyone BUT America and Muslims! This is still ridiculous though. The game was released on a pay week for many in the UK. Pushing it back when other big games are coming out at the same time is a bad move.
Where do you think the money will be spent? Not everyone is rich enough to go buying several titles. Oh well, means I’ll be getting Dead Space earlier on now.

Well i agree with all the sony have screwed uk over but the people that are blaming Mm are idiots, its not there fault. Im so looking forward to this game though it will be the one ps3 game that i will never trade in lols =P
Alot of people are asking this question, but I’m seeing no reply about it. Are the free extra’s i.e. spacesuit & T-shirt give-away’s gonna be extended so that everyone who get’s the game when it is first released in their area still gonna be given out. I’d be gutted not to get them because you lot messed up the release. Please Mm, confirm this for us disappointed gamers? Personally I feel you should give them away for at least 2 – 3 weeks to ensure everyone who get’s the game has a chance of getting these item’s, or better still just make them constantly available for ever, & throw in a few extra’s to make up for the delay

The comments are still so negative! The game is coming, and it will be EXACTLY as much fun as it was going to be before the delay. Don’t let a few days or weeks taint your enjoyment of the game. It’s a cutesy game all about creating and innocent platformy fun, after all.

thanks for the updates. we all want this game and it’s just hard that the delay came on the eve of its release. i think that’s what bothers the most. if a few months back it was learned that lbp was gonna be delayed by a week or two, i’m sure the frustrations wouldn’t be nearly as bad. the beta was a great deal of fun and i am so excited for the game. hope to get it as soon as it’s available.

You probably don’t know how friggin pissed of I am, even if you are a Europian. I just want a really good explanation why America always gets things before we do. And especially with more then a week between the releases. They just print as fast as they can for the US, and then maybe some for asia and then they figure they need some for Europe as well. I live in The Netherlands myself, and i have to wait for the november release. So i was speculating why these delays are so much different. Maybe the massive production machines aren’t here in Europe. That would be the only thing that makes sense. And i thought sony decided at PS3 release that every game will be released worldwide? at the same time?. If that is not easy. Just tell them release is 3 November or whatever so the whole world gets it 3 Nov. Aaah just some mind spins

While I’m happy about the update, of course there’s always something to whine about (hey, I don’t like it either).
Why does the US get the game a week earlier, when the original release dates were all in the same week? I’m glad that the American gamers’ experience has only been delayed for a week, but not if that means I have to wait longer because the newly printed LBP copies are sent to the US first. Sony obviously has no idea how anti-European their strategy seems to European gamers, and after first pissing us off with an unnecessary delay, they piss us off again by making us wait longer than our fellow American gamers. I wouldn’t be surprised if this means a serious decrease in LBP sales, since so many other triple A titles are being released as well…
I would very much like a PROPER explanation for this, and not just a lame “Thanks for your comments”. I know that, again, this isn’t MM’s fault (just like the retarded recall itse,f), but MM is closer to Sony than I am.
And perhaps “in the end everybody WILL be happy”, but this whole situation will never be forgotten. This is like a poop stain on those jeans you always loved to wear. You still wear the jeans, hoping nobody sees it, but if someone recalls that good old time when you got crap on your jeans, you’ll get laughed at ALL OVER AGAIN. This whole thing is ofcourse nothing else but a business decision, Sony believes they will make more money in the long run by this stupid recall approach, and unfortunately they are probably right.
I have reacted very strongly, not because the game is delayed, but for the reasons of it. Im extremly sad the world works like this, religion precedes reason and has done so for thousands of years, I had hopes that we were going in the right direction but the Danish prophet story a year ago or so proved me wrong, we are still medival. As an atheist I cry inside when stupidity and fairytales still have such impact on whats happening around us and now even in the consolegame entertainmentbusiness…. I really would like to protest this behavior from Sony in the harshest possible way, but the only petty thing I can come up with is to cancel my pre-order. That would however not likely change anything and imo LBP is way to good to miss out.
This whole story is just like poring gasolin on my own personal anti religion bonfire, its a crying shame that all ours SackBoy is getting tainted by this madness. I will have a wierd mix of bad taste in my mouth and happiness when I slide my copy into the PS3 for the first time.
Nevertheless, mM have made a fantasic game and I hope you wont suffer to much from this, and I hope we will see more greatness from you guys in the future.

Lets assume the discs for Europe are pressed in Germany. Seems to be where most CD’s are pressed for European release. Just a guess mind you.
So ive pre-ordered off of play.com and i havent yet got an email of any delays .. will i get it on the 24th or the 27th? It all seems too vague with too many different dates. Any way, im looking forward to getting my hands on a copy and all the videos look great! so thanks for bringing out such a great looking game Mm ! And why do USA get it first? Eu are just as important .. let us have something first!
So it’s the 5th for the UK, bit of a strange date what with it being Bonfire night and all, everyone will be out setting fire to stuff, blowing things up, eating toffee apples etc.
I see yet again the UK is the last to get anything, how about a special ‘Bonfire Night’ level for download by way of saying sorry for the delay, would be a nice little touch.
Summing my thoughts:
- I echo comments that this is a UK developer, so why the UK delay. As a small, British exemplar for innovation, MM should have tried better here. Though guessing they probably did and its “just life”
- I had time booked off, LBP “party” sorted – not angry about delay, just sad (especially as I’m in the states when it does hit UK shelves, so will have another week to wait b4 I play) (I hope I still get my “there in week one” stuff when I finally do get to play – else I will be grrrr)
- Those in a huff and cancelling pre-orders, selling PS3’s – well, your choice. Seems bit over-dramatic. PS3 is still a good console. LBP will still be a good game.
- I do question the necessity of this. Firstly, as it appears the song is widely available, has been for some time and other providers for it haven’t reacted so hugely. And as I’m sure content will be created which will offend some one or some group, no matter how innocuous, once the game goes live. If this is the line that is being drawn, then its setting a difficult base point for the evaluation of other content as it emerges.
Overall, in 25 years of gaming, this is probably the most disappointed I’ve been…but that’s probably because what MM are providing/promising is something so well aligned to my (and everyones) expectations/desires for what they wish to be experiencing with their games. I’m still excited, I still think this will be something I’ll be coming back to again and again, I’m still a big fan. I’m just, for a few more weeks, a sad fan

The day the recall was announced, I got a “your item has shipped” email from BestBuy.com. However, when I click on the tracking number, I get “Invalid URL.” I suppose that means they caught the shipments in time. If whoever blew the whistle had waited perhaps 5-6 hours, I’d be getting my copy of the gane today.

With the release date so close to World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King, I will no longer be purchasing your game on release day, or perhaps not at all.

To say i’m dissapointed is an understatement, an extra 12 days to wait in dear old Blighty! why do the yanks always get things first? And it sounds like half of them got the game early anyways. Grrr. Its totaly fecked up my days off work i took, oh well time to cry over my spilt milk. How about an extra free exclusive download for pre-orders in the UK?

The shop I pre-ordered at’s just changed the date to the 5th, and now there’s an even bigger delay between the US and UK releases than before (still can’t understand why the UK gets a British developed game dead last.)
Really tempted to import it or something. But seeing as we get games last because we’re not as big a market as America, losing even more sales to the US isn’t exactly helping the cause.
I know it’s not your fault MM. I’m just so desperate to play the game again after the beta and pop-up shop in Manchester, and it’s just been disappointment after disappointment.

I know this has been difficult for you guys down at MediaMolecule, and I wanted to take the time to thank you for the time and effort you’ve put into rectifying this situation for those who had been offended. Even though it means the rest of us had to wait a little longer, I think it’s great that everyone is now able to enjoy this game.

I decided not to buy the game because I am offended by the fact that Americans get everything before Europeans. Why the hell do they get the game before we do? I come from UK and I am extremely disappointed in you Mm.
You and Sony are the best examples of what big companies shouldn’t be like.
I have to say I’m really really angry about the delay though I do understand that it had to be done and it’s better we have the delay.
But just so you know, your “about 1 week wait” is three weeks in Europe. Now correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the average between 1 and 3 two?

I am in the USA, and I still agree that the delay in the UK is a bit off. As someone mentioned up above, though, the reason is likely due to a printing press is actually located in the United States while the nearest one to the UK is Austria. I don’t think that should equal a whole week extra worth of delay, but I seriously doubt Sony is shipping the disks printed in Austria all the way to the USA. So, either the Austria press is not able to produce en masse, or it really does take that long to ship it from there to the UK.
As to this whole fiasco… I find my blood boiling over every time I think about it. The fact that NUMEROUS Muslims are bragging about how they are right now playing the game they got recalled from everyone else definitely does not help the matter. Offensive lyrics my ass. So offensive they keep posting things like “This game rocks! Glad I didn’t have to wait! Haha.”
I am definitely not going to cancel my pre-order in protest, but I am warning everyone now. Any level posted in the region meant to represent the Middle East on the Craft World is NOT getting a single play by me. Consider that part of Craft Earth non-existent for this gamer.
And we know you tried, MM… probably nothing more you could have done, but it still irks to lose something we were looking forward too for a reason we see as inane.
Thanks for the news MM. I feel terrible about the delay and was quite angry at first. However, in the long run it’s better to nip something like this in the bud before it turns into a crapstorm. I’d hate to see such an Awesome game like LBP get negative press for something this stupid. C’mon guys, it’s only a week or so away, if you’ve been waiting since GDC 07 like some of us have then it’s not the end of the world. AND it’s not MM’s fault for the recall. They don’t call it the Delaystation for nothing!
I applaud Mm for their efforts and openness towards the public about their position in this ordeal.. I find it sad that some people are still blaming you when clearly you were fighting for the same things the public was. Once again, the publishers are at total fault here, and my stance that Publishers are totally unnecessary and only cause problems in the VG and Music industry, stands firm.

Thanks Media Molecule for the update, too bad you couldn’t give an update for New Zealand, current date seems to be for 7th of November here. All you Europeans are complaining about being last to get it! But hey, I’m not going to be returning my PS3 (its better than the competition
), or cancelling my pre-order. I’ve waited this long and I can wait a wee bit longer. I didn’t book time off work, although this weekend (when it was originally going to be released here) was a long weekend. I got over it, and I don’t see why some “fans” are being so over dramatic about it.
Damn I hate being last in line like the REST OF EUROPE! It’s the same with all the other games, look at Call Of Duty 4, the yanks get the game and crack it before ‘the rest of the world’ get a sniff at the box cover. Plus, why are we £15.00 more?
Hey, it was a simple and understandable error, and the delay is small enough that I simply do not understand the complaining. I want the game as much as the next gamer, but Sony made the right call, albeit the longer call.
One thing that I am concerned about and I have not heard address is whether or not the song was removed or censored, and if it was removed, has another song been added in its place?
With much praise for the soundtrack to the game, it is disheartening to think a song was lost from the roster over such a minor (2 phrases are easily removed/changed with the right permissions) issue.
I can’t believe that people were cancelling their pre-orders for a weeks delay. Personally I’m glad this happened… if someone is really that much of an idiot that they are cancelling pre-orders over this then I don’t WANT them playing LBP with me… their levels would have sucked anyway…

It states the song/music was found during the beta trial. This song wasn’t even available in the beta…. We only had the Garden area during beta, so how is this possible?… I guess it’s bad to say some guy got the game on the street before the actual release date…

For those that are complaining about “it’s only a week” and “WHY US FIRST!?”
I thought I would chime in. Both reasons are really the same.
Grab a chair.
Servers cost money, and creating and delivering these beta keys will cost money. I work in a hosting company and let me tell you, there is no button that will automatically setup and start servers. I’m almost completely positive that it’s not the same infrastructure setup for the REAL version as the BETA. More people playing will equal more servers and different infrastructure to bear the load of those people. It takes time and money to setup the servers and the infrastructure. While I REALLY REALLY wished that I could have been in on the Beta the 1st go round, I can easily see why there’s not going to be a 2nd go round.
What most people don’t understand is that Video Game Companies do NOT run on an infinite amount of wealth. Media Molecule has a set budget (This may be set by themselves or Sony, I can’t specifically comment) but if they go over that budget then people don’t get paid. While most people are in this thing for the love, people still have to be able to feed themselves and their families.
This is what brings me to my 2nd point

Because the US market by far will bring in the most profit. I’m sorry guys, I wish it was the UK. But if you’re going to release a game, the quickest way that you’ll make the most money initially is by starting in the US Market. This isn’t a “USA! USA! USA!” thing. This is a “Look at the sales numbers” thing.
So this really comes down to money. Not GREED. But making a profit. Profit =/= Greed. So yeah.
This sucks that I can’t play LBP tommorow, but don’t blame MM for it. They were ready to go.
You can blame Sony if you want. I honestly don’t know how they’re going to be ready to ship “FULLY PATCHED” versions of LBP within 10-days. I don’t know what they’re planning on doing, but it doesn’t seem feasible that they’d get the product out in time.

I know, why doesn’t everyone take the extra week to plan a level that DOESN’T consist of strapping a rocket to Sackpeople? The Beta servers were full of crappy levels with a few bright spots, like God of War- Demon Skull, and World of Colour.

I’m a little bugged about the delay as well strictly because I think a patch would have sufficed, but what I’m really surprised by is the lack of answers on the forum from mM. People are asking legitimate questions on here and they’re ignoring them. Shitty customer service it would seem. You’d think they’d have at least one person moderating the board to answer the odd question… I mean why else have an open forum on your site if all your customers are going to be ignored. Will anyone even read this?

Also, not being from the UK, I can only guess how it feels having the extra week of delay time. I do agree with the the previous poster that Europe should get some exclusive content. That’s BS how long it’s gonna take to get it to them. I also feel that you guys are doing a poor job answering the European gamers questions about why the extra delay for them. Like why is there’s getting pushed back past Japan, and Japan’s isn’t even moving. Also, being a Canadian, I for one HATE when anyone calls North America the US… America doesn’t bother me so much, because it is North America, but to say that the US date is so and so, and the European one is this is confusing for Canadian gamers. Although I think you probably meant AMERICA is getting the game on around the 27th, I’m not totally sure. I, like others who have posted their comments, am completely bewildered as to why the UK is getting LBP after the US, when MM is a UK developer.
I’ve been waiting eagerly for LBP to arrive ever since I first heard about it in 2007, and I really do hope it has been worth the wait, but why add insult to injury by making UK gamers wait longer for the game to arrive??
No one likes the bad press and negative consequences that surround games that offend people (Manhunt 2 being banned in the UK, The Punisher being toned down, Grand Theft Auto games being banned in Australia – I like the GTA games by the way), and no one wants to see LBP banned or postponed indefinately, so fair enough for the release being delayed.
But why not go for a worldwide release on the same day rather than everybody getting the game at different times?? If it is a logistics issue and difficulty with shipping, then you’d at least thought the UK would have got LBP first (sorry US but it’s only fair, imagine the upset that it’d cause if, for example, NFL merchandise was released in the UK before the US???).
Another question would be why the issue with the song in question wasn’t picked up whilst the songs were being screened for the soundtrack???
After such a long wait, it has come as a bitter blow to hear that LBP has to be delayed. I am still looking forward to getting LBP, and do hope LBP lives up to it’s expectations.
I commend MM for thinking outside the box and developing a game that is completely unique in it’s style and breaks boundaries. I feel that for this reason, LBP will still do well, and am looking forward to becoming part of the LBP community of gamers.
On a bittersweet note to finish, however, imagine if MM had developed a game that wasn’t so unique and was on a similar ilk to other games on the market, another FPS, for example, and the damage a delay in release would have caused then (anyone remember Haze??).

Two thumbs down to Sony. A world wide recall was completely unnecessary. For heaven’s sake, work WITH the Muslim community, don’t go and decide how to best handle the situation yourselves. We’re all reasonable, except when we’re not, of course. Try some cooperation, and you’ll be surprised with how well it works.
For those in the UK who think you’re getting the arse end of the deal, spare a thought for those of us in Australia. It’s practically guaranteed that OZ will be the last to get revised copies. Today at work, I received 80 copies of LBP. I had 1 in my hand…I was reading my emails cause I knew I couldnt keep the copies. I saw the LBP Callback Email I was fearing to see.

I almost took a day off work. Glad I didn’t…I think the excitement is universal. Patience is somewhat of a difficult virtue in this “immediate” society. I have been disappointed in the PS3 thus far (you can’t read the text}…I too only purchased this for LBP. I can wait, I am disappointed, but that should end soon. LBP may be the best game and concept ever. A screensaver or wallpaper would have been nice leading up to this also.

I have stopped believing I’ll get the game on the 27th. You say it will start shipping on the 27th. But how many? You can’t possibly remanufacture and ship enough for people in one week. Those in the UK whining about an extra WEEK and a half (oh the HORROR, the world is going to end) there is a few things to consider… if every region gets their disks pressed as quickly as possible, there is still shipping to consider. If you had all the disks pressed and done TODAY, as there is a desk pressing facility in the US, you are talking 3 days to cover the entire NA region… Same for japan as they have a BD pressing facility too…
Now, the EU region, it gets its disks from… wait for it… the THIRD and LAST BD pressing facility, in AUSTRALIA… so lets see… the cost for shipping determines the mode of shipping, probably freight, which is SLOW, then it has to clear customs, ect…
When Sony originally announced a Worldwide simoultanious launch, it had WEEKS to prepare, took their time, and got the disks in place well in advance… NOW they are rushing ot get replacements out as quickly as possible…
SO i tell you EU region people, as soon as the disks get to your shores, to your regions, your stores, you will have them… as QUICKLY as possible.
MM has NO bearing on how fast or not the EU can get the disks… If the EU had a BD pressing facility somewhere… that would solve the problem…

And those complaining about losing out on play time, that they took time off form work to play it… Enjoy your time off, get outside and away formt eh computer for a bit… there is a real world out there that can be every bit as exciting as the virtual one…

I really don’t know how the retailer sells the game here faster than USA, but I think it’s your job and Sony’s to find this.

I hate how people get so pissed over a week delay, Media Molecule made a little mistake and now everyone is pissed off canceling their orders over what? Hell something else could have happened on the days you took off to where you wouldn’t have been able to play LBP anyways. Things happen, get over it, hell i talked to my boss to switch days off and he gladly did, he said “Its alright with me, im not going to make you miss something you enjoy doing.” That made the delay alot better, but i guess not everyone has that luxury, but still, dont get made at Mm and miss out on an amazing game because of a week delay.

When are the servers going up? Please put them up ASAP, I don’t see any reason why they need to be delayed. Also launch the system that allows us to input our Kratos and Nariko codes, we’ve been dying to input them already. Again I see no reason why those of who got copies on-time should be punished.

I think you folks have done a brilliant job with this turn of events. We have waited years for this game, and 1 more week is worth it. The lyrics are scary, and yet sadly, the music sounded so pleasant…I feel it was a good choice to destroy the current media, and reissue. a rather unfortunate turn of events. Certainly hope what happened doesn’t cut into your folks sales numbers.

It must be harrowing to have so much of a good thing and then for this to happen. Typical. To anyone that booked a holiday, there are loads of copies on Ebay and if you are patient enough, you will get one for around £60. You are being paid while on holiday and are incurring no travel expenses etc so spend some on the game instead. MM need to switch on the servers and updates soon though.
How do you guys feel about the ebay scalpers charging over £100 for copies of the original version of the game (with the unedited soundtrack)? Of course this version has become a collectors item but it doesn’t seem right that there’s people out there making a load of money out of the LBP release fiasco!

I live in Europe, Belgium. My retailer confirmed it will be release on Fr. nov. 7th, that’s more than 2 weeks delay. So don’t say what’s 1 week. I’ve been waiting for this game for too long now. I want it released globally on the same date.

@ Andy: the final BD factory is not in Australia, but in Salzburg, AUSTRIA. And indeed, Austria is in Europe (right under Germany). Minor letter difference, major geographical difference.
So now what is your explanation that Europe gets its copies later? Also, don’t forget that North America is quite big and it has only one BD factory, so it takes time to ship copies around there too. At least Austria is more or less the center of Europe.
Besides, if the factory was in Australia, the aussies wouldn’t get their shipments last, would they.

just got an email from ‘game’ stating the 5th for my pre-order. For all those still moaning, consider this. Two years ago, I didn’t know how to send an email. Yet, here is a game that’s gives me the power to create my own levels. Something I could only dream of doing. I tried the beta like many others and was blown away by just how amazing LBP is. It has far surpassed any expectations of what it could achieve. For a computer dimwit like me this is a godsend. Enjoy which could go on to be the greatest games of all time. To cancel your orders or refuse too buy now because of this delay is crazy. Good luck for future MM and thanks.

as the game hasn’t had its official release date the online servers haven’t been activated… also when they are you will probably have to download a required patch (to remove a certain audio track)

I preordered from Amazon, and their stuff is saying November 4th. Might you guys know anything about that? I don’t want to wait an extra week just to save a couple of bucks on cash and avoid the headache of standing in line in the store.
If I promise to mute my TV when the so ever offensive song starts can I get a copy of the game today?
What I don’t understand is why anyone would -take- time off for the game. For ANY game. For Halo, WoW, LBP, anything. As fun as it is (or looks like for us non-beta testers lolz) it’s still JUST a game. I mean, if your vacation happened to fall on the same week as the initial launch date, then yeah I understand, and that sucks. But if you actually took time off for it…well, that sucks even more for ya, but I don’t know if that was the wisest decision.
I’m still looking forward to the game, and I’m crossing my fingers in the hopes that the game won’t be delayed again.
They’ll have to make the ‘I was there week 1′ t-shirt a ‘I was there month 1′ t-shirt instead especially as the US is the only territory that will actually be there week 1, but what are you doing about those that are purchasing the game as a christmas present ? ?
