Having to wait is never fun. So turning the servers on for the people that have the game already is the best thing to do. I will just have to wait for the european release. At least i got to play the beta so that’s a little bit of comfort for me.

I have an american copy but live in UK. I can understand that the servers are not switched/connected (no buttons pressed here) in Europe, which makes sense as the game is not yet officially relase. But will an american version of the game work properly in Europe?

I ordered mine from Amazon and I guess I won’t be getting mine till tomorrow (28th), at least that’s what the site says (even though it still hasn’t been shipped). I spent an extra 5 bucks to get it day and date of release and now I find out I spent 5 bucks for nothing. Oh well it could be worse I could live in the UK. I really feel bad for you guys/girls in the UK, but it is true that it is going to be worth the wait.

Awesome! Congrats, I’ve had my PS3 for over a year and LBP is the first game I’ve bought. You’ve got the sale, now how about a patch that doesn’t automatically assume a remote control dongle is a second player. It’s ridiculous that I have to unplug it every time I play the game(thus remembering to plug it back in when I’m done). Mildly annoying is a polite way of putting it. Same goes for a Rock Band hub or any USB device. How about instituting a “Player 2 – Press Start” (novel idea, I know) function to jump into the game?
My beta level is up on the servers, but it won’t load. Get a “Failed to Load Level” error. Anyone here knows what that means? I worked so long on this level, and man does it kill me to not have it. I had so many ideas put into it and the art behind it took forever

For some reason after the patch, winches in my custom level no longer produce any sounds. I haven’t checked any of the Story levels but it’s pretty annoying.

Well, EBGAMES /Gamestop told me they shipped it out not too long ago, they are always good at shipping it fast as opposed to Amazon. Gah, this night and tomorrow’s school day will not end soon enough!!

hi guys, i’ve got problems with LBP, since i updated to 1.02 i cannot edit/create levels anymore, my materials and tools icons are ghosted out. this sucks as i created several levels for the beta and even after downloading them again from your severs i cannot edit them either.
it looks like i have to replay all the tutorials AGAIN, even though i have already done this with the full game since i’ve had it. PITA!! i hope this doesn’t happen with every update in the future.
also, Kratos downloadble outfit not showing up anywhere since i dopwnloaded it.

Regarding Geosautus’ level God of War Demon Skull as pointed out by jjmusicman, is there no way (I haven’t been able to check myself) to identify derivation works? For example, if user A makes map X, then user B downloads that map to make map Y and republishes, is there a way to tell map Y came from map X by user A? I think that could help identify “plagiarism” issues like when people republish others’ levels. This system is in use now by the online editing suite aviary. For example, this image indicates source images as well as derivative works.

If you go to one of the derivative images, it will show your last image as a source. A similar system for maps would help identify original authors and those who changed or modified maps.
Again, I haven’t used any of the community features in LBP or been able to download user maps etc. so I don’t know if something like this is in place yet or not; I’m just going by the impression I’m getting from jjmusicman’s post.

I’m having a problem playing the game with my PS2 controller (through USB adapter). It worked fine as a second controller in the beta, but isn’t recognised in the full game. Anyone else have this problem?
I heard that it affects 3rd party controllers too.

Mm needs a patch that doesn’t automatically assume a BD remote control as a second player! I ALWAYS had to turn off my PS3 to be able to play the game properly.

Why is The Virgin Mary, the MOTHER OF THE SON OF MY GOD, in LBP while a song quoteing the Quran forces the game to be delayed?
You can’t pick and choose. I really find it offensive that She is in the game. If you think it is because it fits into the theme that is not a good reason. The song fit into the theme as well. Please offer a good reason why you can take out a theme from one religion but still leave others in.

I hope this is just a result the deluge of users all at once but I don’t like having problems playing the disc-based parts of the game because of something to do with servers I’m not on…

LBP is one of the best games I’ve played in a long, long time. Having said that, why is nobody talking about the fact that the game is essentially broken right now? Connectivity to the servers is either so slow that it’s unplayable or it just doesn’t work at all. It takes me 3 minutes just to change a costume, community levels won’t load at all, I can’t join any games, etc.
And this is mostly the GameStop pre-order crowd. What happens when everybody else joins in tomorrow? Don’t let me down MM, I want to love this game!

Fix your god damn servers please, or allow for more bandwidth. Whatever the issue is, the wait times and lag make online play unplayable at the moment. What, did you all not think lots of people would play this game?

I experience lag while I’m in my pod, but not when I’m in a level o.O
I’m having extreme lag problems from Argentina. I’m very disapointed with the servers performance.
Note: I have no lag problems with any other game(COD4, Warhawk, Grid and so on). Hope this issue fix soon.

You should have made sure your servers could handle the load before turning them on. Now, even single player lags like crazy.
Same thing happened to Socom. I would have thought you would have learned from their mistake and made sure it wouldn’t happen to LBP. The fact that LBP is a great game makes this more frustrating!!!

The game is more than I could dream of… the lag (which has become terrible as the day / evening progressed [PST]) is TERRIBLE. I’m confident that all us beta testers (early adopters) are hopefully helping Sony and they are bringing on additional hardware to remedy the situations.
I think the game should be patched to better separate the network loading/lag from the game so if and when the network lag kicks in the game shouldn’t appear as if it froze and doesn’t respond. Or at least have some better more active indicators.
All problems I expect will be worked out this week and into the next.
It seems the servers are having some major issues. Things were great all day, I went to take a nap, now I’m back on and I’m running into issues while connected. Loading issues everywhere. I’ve resorted to logging out of PSN just so I can continue to play the singleplayer. Hoe things get sorted out soon, my buddies and I were having a blast online!

The servers are not working right now. Just wanted to give you the heads up.
Calling out here from California with no connection. I’ll give Time Warner a day to update their caches. The promo code works fine, but I get the original error message when trying to read the EULA or using any in-game internet function. It makes me sad.

well for some reason the servers are down i was able to get my preorder codes but havent been able to join anyone online because the EULA wont connect this is very upsetting what should i do.

Yeah, I’ve played online for a few minutes but the game keeps freezing. I guess it’s just because the server-capacity needs to be fixed and all, so I’ll be patiently waiting for it to work.
As for the Story Mode: Superb! Excellent! I loved every second of it. And so did my three friends

I’d like to see all of you do a better job than MM are doing. So they misjudged the server capacity a little, so what? It’ll get fixed, you’ve still got single player, go work on some level or other to upload for when the servers *are* up.
Just consider yourselves lucky that you’ve actually got the game, here in the UK we’ve got to wait til the 5th, and it sounds like poor old Denmark have to wait until the 7th! We’d all love to have a copy of the game like you do, at least you’ve got *some* LBP to play with. The wait will be worth it like it’ll be worth it for us to actually get the game in the first place.

This game is amazing… sure, the servers went down, so I had 4 people come over and had an LBP party and then worked on perfecting some level creation!
I love LBp but this should have been anticipated. This had better get fixed ASAP or it’s really going to sour my impression of what shouldbe a friggen awesom game.
I have to admit I’m already a huge fan of LBP, and I’m amazed at the attention to detail you’ve all displayed for this. However I’m feeling disappointed though as the slow network operations are bleeding into even single player content. Random freezes (sometimes 30 seconds or more) and a bunch of operations take longer to process and random intervals all while (what I assume is the network activity logo) the little earth just spins and spins. Not a big fan of the ‘background network activity’ producing such disappointing side effects. I’ll keep playing but boy it’d be nice to see a patch with a option to ‘unplug’ from your network if things are that busy.

I think they will release the 1st Week T-Shirt and the SpaceSack when most countries have got the game. But how will we get these? Will it be through the game or through the Playstation store?
Anyone facing this problem: a level you created won’t load (gives an error). This happened to me in the beta and now in the retail game. I am frustrated that long-hours work just gets corrupted because of a stupid bug. MM, please look into this. I can’t Create anymore because I’m afraid it’ll go to waste the next time I load the game. I am already pulling my hair (and there’s not much left to pull).
You have got to be kidding… I am going to say what I think MM wants to say, but won’t because they are a cool company that is trying there best to keep everyone happy:
This game is literally holding the world’s attention and a lot of you are still shocked that we all are experiencing server issues on day 1 & day 2 so far… Either you all are not regular “blockbuster” gamers or just those people that love making dirty mud puddles to wallow in… Server issues are bound to happen, it is in some regard, unforeseeable what will happen when the servers go completely live and on top of that, when everyone and the moles on their backs has been waiting to jump on… And not only playing (like a COD or Mario Kart) but also uploading content(which in my recollection has never been done in such mass before ‘even more of a reason for unforeseen server issue’)
In my opinion, though this temporary situation does suck, it is a good sign… It means that tons of people are signing in, which in turn should equate to a lot of great user created levels for us all to play once everything is ironed out.
And to BRIAN way up there on the comment list, who is busting MM’s chops about the Virgin Mary:
FIRST, I would like to state that I had an early copy, heard the song that was removed and I am sad to see it go. I thought it was a cool song (even though I could not understand what was being said, I’m American) and though I am against censorship, I can still understand why it was removed.
SECOND, it’s quite childish for this tit-for-tat complaining… the facts of the matter are we do not live in a world where all cultures react the same way to things. Though a lot of Muslims have come forth to say that it did not need to be removed, SCEA and MM made a decision IMO based on history. Christians, Buddhist and many other religions do not react the same way that Muslims MAY to their religious scriptures being quoted or referenced, as long as it is not in a derogatory manner.
In the case of the Virgin Mary in LBP, I don’t think there is anything there for a regular christian to be offended at, actually, the people that would be offended if any, would be other religions complaining about being bombarded by Christianity (the way they have been for centuries).
I think most christians and priest and such would appreciate the Virgin Mary’s tasteful Cameo appearance.
Now I am not a Muslim (but I have Muslim friends (that still doesn’t make me an authority on the faith though)) but I believe that the issue lies with the way that some Muslim’s show their praise and faith. If I understand it correctly, it is that they do not appreciate their “holy book” being quoted or used in a “not solely dedicated to true religious praise” fashion. They want you to quote the scripture and show true praise, not tack it on as some sort of entertainment, because to them it is serious business.

so.. i assume that the server issues last night were the reasons why my LBP game was loading very slowly and freezing at times?

When i play this game, it loves to mess with me when i play online.
First off, when i connect, you have to wait 2 minutes to connect to the server. Then it freezes for 5 minutes.
Then it unfreezes and then you reach the POD computer. it freezes. It unfreezes, then freezes again before you reach the selection menu.
it finally unfreezes. I decided to create my new level “Zombie Invasion Pt. 1″(going up soon.) When i load the level. It freezes when i enter. Then unfreezes after a minute. Oops, i just screwed up a part on my giant vehicle. Press reverse. It rewinds for 20 seconds minimum. Then you put it down. after that you try to take out stickers. they take at least 20 seconds more to take the stickers out of the popit menu. Well, at least i made my level. I Go to publish it. It freezes during publishing then it shows a error window saying i can’t publish it. Wash. Rinse Repeat.
Then if i am joining someone’s game, it lags me to hell then disconnects and the error menu won’t even let me press ok. i have to restart my ps3 because the home menu doesn’t do anything.
Just so you know, i have Broadband Connection so there is no reason this should be happening. My other games connect fine on my ps3.
no online fine. finishing up story mode. but i am glitched @ the collector. i play thru ,free everyone,grabbed all my items thru the level, finish the level andiback at my pod it says 0% complete and no next level. did this twice.cant get last lvl
PS360: were your other games the most anticipated PS3 game of the year? were they perfect the first few days after release? Are the online features 80% of the game or just 10% of it?
This is normal guys, it happens to every game company when the reaction is so positive that they could never imagine how much love would submerge them.
I have only one thing to say:
I’m glad this is happening NOW, to Americans. Because I’m in Europe, and it’ll probably be all smooth and dandy when the game arrives here, HA! Take that! That’s for being first to get it!

Everyone who has got LBP stop complaining anout the servers not working. At least you have the game and are able to play on it. Some people didn’t even get the chance to take part in the Beta test of it. So quit complaining.

My Game Stop got it on Saturday and when they told me I assumed it was next Saturday. So I picked it up yesterday and played the story through with a friend. Honestly, it was one of the funniest, most awesome, experiences I’ve ever had with a video game. I haven’t even touched create and share yet, but I’m thinking LBP should take over being my all time favorite game ever. Amazing job guys.

Perhaps you should send them a picture of the massive amount of servers running in unison, and tell them.. you’d be happy to let them run it.. but then nobody would get to play it, ever.. because they wouldn’t know a bit about how to even get it started.

My servers are still down in Ontario Canada, and my friend in BC says he can’t connect there either =(
okay, i would like the servers to be up, but i am working on finishing the one of the collector levels. i believe its the second to last one, where you have to free all the people from the cages. (Awesome level BTW) i have finished this level and gotten pretty much all of the items and freed everyone. when i get back to my pod the level shows 0% and no next level. so i did the level again, none of the items are there anymore (i got them the first time) and when i finished the level it still says 0%. i can get to the final level. anyone seen this?
Thank you Sadeq on your commentary. Sure it sucks we have tons of lag and sure they should have had a larger beta to test load the server. By now every company out there knows you find out how things need to be configured when everyone jumps on for the first time. BUT… the game is amazing, they are doing things never done before, and did I mention the game is amazing!!! Have fun with the game, try the online here and there and maybe work on some great content. It takes a lot of time to make a great level and sharing is right around the corner.

Game is terrific, here’s hoping the server issue gets sorted out soon. In the meantime, I will continue to play through the wonderful single player experience.
I understand where you’re coming from dOobs24. In many respects, I agree with your comments in regards to startup server issues. Still, I cant help but feel somewhat frustrated that in this day and age more preliminary steps couldn’t have been made to avert the disastrous performance everyone experienced on day one of this title’s release. I hate to make comparisons while making comments within the gaming community bc it typically leads to biased absurdities from all sides, but I will say, in the brief span of time that I did (past tense)own a 360, from day one of the system’s largest title; Halo 3, the servers ran flawlessly. The mere fact that there exists one unique instance where an online-centered blockbuster title released with positive results, says to me that although Sony and media molecule have clearly outdone themselves with this title in many respects, they failed in regards to locking down a solid online performance on day one. It doesn’t help that it appears nearly everything in the game relies on server performance – evidenced by lag in functions as simple as character customization.
Sad state of affairs this server thing is. Basically makes the game unplayable when you are connected.
I am glad they took the servers down to address the issue. Bandwidth (Database Mirroring and Internet Throughput need to be massively upped to handle this game). I am confident that MM know what they are doing and will have this sorted out one way or another. Until they do, they will keep the servers down so one player experience isn’t ruined.
I would not like to be the IT guy at MM right now, he be pulling some serious hours.

Ummm… that has almost nothing to do with your experience with LBP Online – and you write a tech blog? Really?
That being said, it is disappointing that virtually *all* launches of “hyped” games with an online component turn out this way (I’m looking at you SOCOM and GTA IV Multiplayer). The publishing companies must have *some* sense of the expected traffic yet they always undershoot. Can’t they temporarily lease some additional horsepower to provide users with an enjoyable first day/early online experience? It shouldn’t be “expected” that online will be unavailable or crappy on new releases (even though most ppl expect it)…
But kudos on a fantastic game – I’m well on my way to my first level being published (and a reasonably good one too – not a trophy level or half-assed WIP level)
Thanks for all your hard work, but let’s step-it-up on the online component, eh?

Im dissapointed about the server issues, I had published a level and wanted to upgrade it. And the lag i had last night was unbearable, to the point i thought the PS3 froze. But hey, as long as it gets fixed within the next few days, it’ll be alright.
On a positive note, this game is redonkulous.
The level editor is exactly what i had hoped for, and more. I explained it to a friend of mine as like the classic Nintendo Excitebike editor feeling on crack.
It also brings me back to days of doodling in school as a youngster creating ships and vehicles of far out designs, that now i can actually crate with ease.

What’s bothering me most about these server problems is the fact that they were given an extra week to get things straightned out with the delay of the game. Yet they chose to not turn on those severs, and instead chose to wait til the last possible moment to do so. That extra week could have been used for further testing, and maybe we wouldn’t have these problems if that had been done.
I was asking myself all of last week why they felt it was better to not turn on the servers, and all of my fears come to fruition yesterday.
Any updates on the server status? I was able to get online but once in a user made level, the lag hit me like a wall.

Media Molecule, fantastic game by the way…pleasantly surprised is an understatement. This game is fabulous. Can’t wait until you get those servers up and running.

It appears that there has been some connection problems with the co-op play with lbp. I’m not sure if that has to do with low connectivity or a flaw in the game. This should be corrected immediately because this TOO GREAT of a game to have this in it.

Servers are working for me now. This page should be updated. There is absolutely zero lag, co-op is fine, user levels are fine, no probs whatsoever. Whatever you guys did, it worked. And who cares about the littlebig delay. At least it wasn’t like another 2 weeks for a user patch. Be grateful they fixed it in under 24 hours which is something many other games have not done recently, fix something quick.

It is freezing online as well as offline. It freezes when I select a place, and it freezes during the gameplay.
I hope they release a patch to fix all the glitches, because I am loving this game!
Servers are back, apparently…and so is the lag. Good times, good times. And yes, using “Undo” in the edit mode is unbearable with the tremendous lag. Come on, MM and Sony. Get your act together!

Amen lol… Launch pains, launch pains. People seem to forget that this is actually a fairly small and fairly new company we are dealing with, even with the backing of Sony, there is bound to be growing pains with such a successfull product. Not to mention the fact that Sony has a history of underestimating their customers; remember when the PS3 first came out and many stores didn’t have more than few systems in stock because of Sony’s inability to manufacture enough units!?!
Weird that people are having problems even offline though, only when I try to do anything online have I had any problems, the story mode and edit modes, even rewinding, have given me no problems at all…Then again I havn’t gotten that far in the story yet, nor have I made any really intensive levels, so…

Interesting point, that makes me think the reason my game has run so smooth is because of my spotty wireless connection lol! I probably wasn’t even connecting to my router half the time. I haven’t really payed that much attention because I have been playing the story most of the time lol. For once, having a crappy router has proved to be a good thing lol.

hey monkeychow great point, I experienced the same thing. Has Sony or MM released any official statement to when it will be fixed? Hopefully by the weekend. I think that the week on goodies will be released in each area as the game becomes avialble on the Playstation Store during the regular updates.

Does anyone know what is going on with the Gamestop GOW level? WHen your redeem the code it says you will get one but it does not show up as a download or in the game. God, whats with all the whining? At least you’ve got the game. I expect this kinda miserable crap on xbl, turns out psn is still full of whiny bitches. What do you expect from week one releases? The beta was never gonna be able to stress test the volume of traffic the servers are currently being subjected to. On the upside at least your all being the good little guinea pigs for the eventual release in Europe.
Basically all MM has to do to keep ever one happy is put up more progress notes up. Let us know where they are at or what they plan to do. I’m sure there is a temp there that could post at least twice a day.

@Techno: I’m not an expert on technical aspects of running servers, but I’m guessing that even with a longer beta, we’d still be experiencing some issues (prob not as much as we are though). Here’s where I would usually go into a long “educated guess” debate over development times and sales predictions… but enough about the boring stuff, you hit it on the head: “the game is amazing!!!” so let’s just have fun with what we got for now…

What can I say, you got me there with the Halo 3 servers… Lol. Microsoft does pull in specific funding for it’s online services(subscription fees), so they should be getting more reliable results(and they had two previous versions of the game to learn from).
I do agree it’s still disheartening that this happens (LBP server issues) in this day and age, but it just drives me crazy how quickly some people turned on MM and SONY just because of the server issues, while they still delivered us an A+ game. Your right when you say they messed up, but can’t we just allow them to “take a mulligan” on that one lol (I hope that’s the right term, I don’t play golf)

I’m sorry, but when online is a selling part of the game (as pitched online and on the box of the game itself), it should be up and ready well before the launch. There was a beta, and those who participated experienced the exact same thing. Just proves that someone, Sony and/or Media Molecule, did not take the online portion as seriously. Online is the only thing that gives the game any sort of legs. This “whining” is a valid complaint; just because other games or online systems experience this doesn’t mean all games or online systems should experience it especially if it is wrong.
When was the last time you say? Seems like every PS3 launch, i have never had much troubles out of any other game on 360 or maybe 1 on my PC but that is it.
I agree with tenaku, we paid good money to get a final polished product. Yes, the game is badass….but these hiccups are certainly annoying. Especially considering that the online feature is the biggest feature of the game. The descent thing to do is for Sony or Media Molecule to at least give a service ETA. That way we can all go on with our lives instead of whining on these blogs. Meh!

Actually, I can’t recall the last time I’ve experienced such a busted experience with a game, regardless of whether it was at launch or not. The lag from the servers causing SINGLE PLAYER faltering?!?! It’s ridiculous. And the edit has more holes in it than Swiss cheese. Parts of my level just start falling down or moving on their own, when I’m not even working in that part of the level.
The fact is they rushed this game out to beat the competition this Christmas shopping season, and the game isn’t ready.

At least they are acknowledging the problem and fixing it. Unlike poor xboxlive users who spent 80 bucks on Fable and have been slapped in the face by the developers because many of them cannot play the game after a patch that was put in and the developers are saying there is no problem with the game and blaming the users.
I personally salute media molecule for not acting like the Fable developers. I am glad they are working on this and will patiently wait.

PSN game servers being down around the time of launch is nothing new, although I have been playing online for the last hour–it’s extremely choppy. The three games I’ve played on PSN near launch are Warhawk, SOCOM, and LBP; they’ve all had problems, and they eventually get fixed. People should be expecting things like this to happen for arguably the biggest release on PS3 so far, and at least this game is good unlike SOCOM. Keep up the good work, MM.

When I picked up my pre-ordered copy of LBP from Electronic Boutique in Victoria, BC, I was told that they had not received an adequate amount of DLC cards and were not expecting any more.
It was unclear as to whose responsibility this is: I was told to phone around to other EB stores to find out if they had any DLC code cards. None did.
I would expect that the manufacturer of the game is responsible for all pre-order perks… but don’t know where to begin in tracking this down. Increasingly, for whatever reason, DLC promises are not being kept (it happened with Fable II on the XBox as well).
I think the servers will be working 100% by the time of the UK release. I also think that the SpaceSack and the 1st Week T-Shirt will be released at the UK release seeing as MM are a UK company.

Servers seem to be working, hooray :^) Now I’m afraid to turn it off. BTW you have to install patch 1.03 before you start, at least I did
@Oliver… I know that it seems bad when there are server issues, glitches, etc… but it does seem to happen in most major titles. Madden 09 had major flaws when released, Call of Duty 4 server issues were horrible. Media Molecule seem to have been trying to fix this issue and seem to have now done so, in a rather fast time frame. So relax and enjoy the game. Deep breathes :^)
Does anyone know what is the Patch 1.0.3 for? I just pop open my PS3 and there is a new patch for LBP.

Servers are working for me now in FL. But does anyone else keep getting kicked out of the PSN, and have to keep signing back in? It happens about every other game I play… I play COD4 online all the time and don’t have this problem…?

I was online this morning (in USA) and when I tried afternoon I couldnt connect. I installed 1.03 this morning. Anyone else having issues or is it just me? Its so addicting gaming with other people! I miss playing all the awesome worlds that others have created….

Ok, so now I needed to install the 1.03 Update and horror horray, I can NOT PLAY ONLINE anymore.
I am located in Vienna, Austria – Europe – do have an US Version (Original with the Quran Part) and its not connecting to the servers.

This is getting pathetic. I had friends coming over tonight to play with me because the servers were up earlier, everyone just got here and they are down again. Thanks for screwing up our evening plans Media Molecule. I was really pulling for you guys, and you don’t even give us a status update…that’s really piss poor customer service.

I can get online now, but I’ve noticed my Play, Create, and Share scores are all back to 0 and aren’t rising with play.
Servers were up again- working the best I’ve seen them- still some lag issues but much better. If anyone wants to add me as a LBP friend my PSN name is jhbmw007- I have the official game guide and need people to help me get those pesky 4 player objectives.

Every new post is…aww man the servers are down. Yes! they are…I don’t like it either but they’re fixing them so they won’t lag on you. Just focus on making some cool levels while they’re down so we all have more to play when they get back up. Keep your eye on this post is what it says. They’ll be back up soon

You guys have created a fantastic game for the PS3 with “LBP”.
My only complaint is the lack of 1080i/p support for people with TVs that don’t support 720p.
Criterion games patched “Burnout Paradise” to upscale up to 1080i, and it worked great.

You guys should release a patch for “LBP” that will do this.
There are thousands of people who have CRT HDTVs or older Plasma’s that don’t display 720p, so LBP downscales to 480p.

I got failed to load level message today.. I have spent hours trying to create my level in the past few days, learning.. I really hope I haven’t lost all the work I’ve done.. please, please don’t let that happen.. I hope it is just a glitch today.. I will try again tomorrow. Anyone else have this happen today??
Thanks for the November 6th update MM. I appreciate you telling us about the servers and the coming content. Keep the communication going! a perfect example of how to communicate with your fan base is World of warcraft. We may not always agree with them but they always communicate with us.
p.s. Isn’t the Tshirt suppose to be a free costume and not paid? It’s been mentioned a lot on these boards. Never heard a response from the company about that.
Servers are still not up but i presume your working on it? Feel like were getting shifted here in the UK tho from one of our own…presumably the US servers are still up and they have been for a week or so. In addition it got released there first and theyre also getting the pumpkin/spacesuit outfits which i believe we’re not… On top of that during development their website was way cooler with all the competitions and way more news posts. I appreciate the yanks have more people to sell to but you can at least provide us with the same stuff!!

still no online multiplayer possible! i’m going to take it back at this rate….
So I just bought my PS3 this morning, and have been trying all day to play online, it gets on, but then people get kicked off, or the game freezes, or I get some connecting to host thing that doesn’t happen, or failed to load game state msg, etc etc etc… I can’t even usually finish or alot of the time even START levels when I am tossed into a group of people. So usually at most I can stay grouped with people LESS than 5 mins. Anyones feedback would be nice, because if it is my PS3 I want to take it back. Should I be worried about the health of my PS3 or is LBP servers really THIS bad right now? Either way, impressed and yet so unimpressed with my PS3 experience. Been awesome until now trying to play this game online with others.
So now after all my other problems I tried to play today, mind you I have only owned the game and my PS3 for 2 days now… I no longer think this is PS3s fault, I think it is LBP planet causing problems. My PS3 is frozen and locked down completely… Media Molecule, I really enjoy the game, however at this point I am starting to wonder if it is not destroying my new PS3 I have had to cold boot and manually shut down my supposedly amazingly advanced PS3 so many times in just two days. What gives? Are you guys going to fix these things or should I return little big planet and steer others away from it?

well I would like to report the good with the bad. I have since been able to stay on and have a great time. However there are MANY times where things go awry, including many times where the game gets stuck and hangs, and I have to manually power off PS3. So as I can best tell, when its either got a decent number of people, or when a group fills all four spots, the service is terrible. You and one or maybe two other people playing on network is fun fun fun. Please continue to iron out the kinks MM, and thank you for your work, I have faith things will get better.

plz MM stop the lag!!!!!!!! i payed u now deliver a superp game experience. story is awesome but playing online is lagfest’08 come on SCEE SCEA fixed most of socoms issues and stabilized the game now why cant u do the same for LBP. which i think LBP should win runner up to GOTY(MGS4)if they can stabilize these servers before christmas
