CES coverage starts to appear…

LBP has been a roller coaster of excitement for us, ever since it was unveiled a little less than a year ago at GDC in March 07. Since then, the anticipation and excitement online took us all by surprise - but is the *best* kind of compliment you could ever by payed as a game developer. Pete, one of our producers at SCEE loves to say ‘it’s the best kind of problem to have!’ when he hears me stressing out over the pressure. And he’s right! But it does mean that whenever a show comes around - in this case, CES in Vegas, where Pete, Leo and Kyle from SCE[E|A] (amongst others) are valiantly demoing the latest LBP build - literally makes me want to hide in a corner, behind a sofa, and peek out at someone else’s internet browser from time to time.
It seems to be going over well, hurrah hurrah, what what, as Bertie Wooster would say (obviously all brits sound like him) and there are lots of little tidbits in the footage that is sure to trickle out that I’m sure longtime LBP fans will enjoy. I really enjoyed reading the posts on the recent kotaku posting - the level of enthusiasm and excitement is really cool and very motivating. Frightning, yes. Not always right. But awesome. Thanks people. Right, back to work…
Hello AE,
It is amazing how much hype LBP is gathering. I can understand how stressfull it might be for you guys. Glad to see that you manage to keep some of your hair despite all this stress
PS: LBP was elected most wanted game for 2008 by a magazine here in France (any format).

It is so refreshing to see game makers being so innovative.
I mean not only adding some funny features into a game, this seems like the re-inventing gaming.
The art direction is also outstanding, and gives a unique identity to the game.
I think LBP deserves all the good buzz.
Thanks you guys <o/

The pic and caption look like something from 4chan. XD
I must admit, I’d love to work there, unfortunately, there’s no job I’m qualified for. =(
You guys seem like a family. >_> If I promised a trip to Disneyland, would you give me a tour of Media Molecule and a demo? XD
Just joking around. But seriously, keep up the good work. I can’t wait for the final release on BD disc. Until then, “OMG LOLZ SOFA!” X3
PS, I’d love to see a shoop da whoop pic on the Mm blog. XD

Recently seen videos of fire. Will other elements enter into gameplay such as water? Considering the real world physics I figure water would be something very difficult to include but very awsome if pulled off. Like seeing sackboy wet same as Drake in Uncharted.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to express my enthusiasm for your amazing game. Good to see an innovative game that is slowly killing my inside because I’m not playing it. I’ve been following news for Little Big Planet since its first announcement and if it sounds a bit obsessive to check multiple sites, multiple times a day, every day… then your probably right. I think I’ve watched every video and trailer release over 50 times now while visualizing it on my TV. I’m glad I finally have somewhere to check for news on the game. I’m giving up first person shooters as I’m a little tired of them by now. Your game is half my reason to get a ps3. No pressure :P. You’ve got a lot of fans and gamers expecting a lot. Keep us posted and I’ll hope you don’t delay too much. Make the game a masterpiece. It will change gaming as we know it =] I’m sure of it. Good Luck!

Alex, you’re the man! after so many awesome demos (btw. ’staying pictures’ is my favourite!), you’ve decided to make a game. Amazing. I’m a BIG fan of your work Alex, really. Thank you for being so creative and inspiring for me. Maybe a demo on pouet?
