Tearaway Wendigo Winners!
2013February 15th
We’re a bit sleepy today, because we stayed up all night umming, ahhing and generally struggling to pick winners to our wendigo mask contest. Finally, after an intense session balancing the merits of each entry, we’ve settled on some winners.
The only way we could settle on those winners though, was to double the number of them from three to six, and make sure we had a good spread of incredible mask creations, and our favourite photographic scenes.
Before we get to naming the winners though, we’d like to thank everyone who entered: Thank you guys, we loved your masks, and we’ve printed them out to put on the wall!
As a little thank you for helping us decorate, we will send an A3 professionally printed tearaway papercraft elk plan to everyone who entered, and we might even get Rex to sign them.
NOW. The Winners. Each of these winners will receive a signed framed doodle by Rex.
Honourable Mention
Not a winner per se, but the first ever Tearaway Cosplay by @stuffstuffthing cannot go unnoticed! We’ll send you a small cool thing, once we can work out what that might be!
We will contact everyone, starting with the winners, via Twitter DMS. So make sure you’re following @tearawaygame if you want to hear from us!
If you haven’t heard from us in 7 days, then get in touch.
Look at all the amazing entries below, and thank you everyone who entered, you are all awesome. Another creative challenge awaits….
You should enter this Wendigo Mask Contest, you’d probably win it.
2013February 5th

So listen right, don’t tell anyone, but we’ve got a contest going on right now, and you could win big time just for glueing some paper together!
You might not have heard about it, because we were busy on a whirlwind press tour, sorry about that, but now we’re back we’re ready for some crafting!
So - Make a wendigo mask from our template, take a photo, and you could win some original, signed, framed artwork from the one and only Rex Crowle. It could look something like this, but a million times better, because this was just a really, really old drawing I found on Rex’s desk.
How do you win this thing then? It’s really very simple.
- Make a wendigo mask
- Send us a photo
- Win the contest

The full rules are below, but that sums it up.
Oh before you go, we wanted to clarify two things that weren’t in the original contest post
- You should make your Wendigo as unique as you can, give it some personality, stick those eyes on wonky, use those yellow strips as teeth or hair or whatever.
- You can stick other bits of paper onto the mask you like, you don’t need to just use the stuff provided! Here are some examples of what we mean…
These ones were made by Games Journalists, and if they can do it, you certainly can.
OK, now let’s get sticking, there’s only a week left to enter!
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
Our favourite three photos will win a framed, signed, doodle by Tearaway lead designer and art master - Rex Crowle.
We’ll be judging on both the awesomeness of the mask, but also of the photo itself, so no artistic ability required here folk, just cutting and sticking and growling.
To enter the contest, do this:
- Download the plans for the mask - make it and customise it
- Pose in some kind of awesome photograph
- Follow @tearawaygame on Twitter
- Tweet your photo @tearawaygame along with the hashtag #tearawaywendigo
The contest ends on Feb 11th at 9:00am GMT
We’ll DM you shortly after that date if you are one of the winners!
Move Masterpieces
2011December 8th
Behold yee the winner and honourable mentions of the recent Move Masterpiece contest over on the LittleBigWorkshop forums.
All of these wonderful meisterworks were made with the Move Paint tool from the LBP2 Move pack, look at them shine and sparkle with their pixelated inks!
The Winner

September Girl By natuhito
Although there was much deliberation, there’s no denying that September Girl was our favourite Move Masterpiece entry!
We saw plenty of Sackboy and Sackgirl paintings but what really caught our eye with this particular painting was the way that natuhito had managed to capture pure human emotion and expression into the portrait.
The level of detail involved is simply superb with such an incredible amount of detail and attention put into ensuring that the painting is suitably symmetrical for a human being and that the shadowing and lighting across the whole piece was spot on to help truly bring the painting to life!
Honourable mentions

Alice In Zombieland By Foreva-Dead

London’s Burning By Olmco

Lone Wolf By Haymurus

Scribbled Scenery By Slapp-Me-Do

Starry Night By RedJackal1

The Little Elf By Konfedia

The Thinking Creator By Crasher360

Tree of Hope By BloodSynlol

Found Art: Unnamed by Kareem
2010November 2nd
Kareem was worried that he’d scared the world with his previous piece of Found Art, and felt so bad about it he drew us a new piece especially, a new piece that is especially awesome.
A piece of art like this needs a name - why not tell us what you think it should be called in the comments below, we’ll send the piece of art to whoever comes up with the best name! Go!
We have a winner! Kareem looked over the full list, and the name that made him laugh the most was the least highbrow of them all, this piece of art is hereby entitled “Bob” - Well done to Marc, @napero7 on Twitter! Thanks everyone for entering, there were some incredible entries there, I think Kareem is hooked on this idea now.
Being Mr Molecule
2010May 7th
We held a sort of mini contest thing on Twitter last weekend, to send in pics of yourself masquerading as our mascot; the every pink and wobbly Mr Molecule.
Here are the winning folks, all jammed together in a badly composed montage!
Well done to you all, real life stickers on their way to you via post soon!
Win a Crown in the LBW Monthly Level Contest
2010February 15th
Every Month, some of the folk over on the LittleBigWorkshop forums hold a themed level create contest, and the winner is bestowed with the ultimate desirable, the one and only Rare PrizeCrown.
There are still two weeks left to enter February’s contest, the theme of which takes its cues from February’s most famous friend; Valentine’s Day, and require entrants to build a two player co-op level. You know, for loved ones to play together.
If you think two weeks isn’t enough time to build something you’d be comfortable unleashing into the wilds, fear not! The contest will start all over again on March the 1st with a new theme, and again every month after that.
We love co-op levels… well I do anyway, so I’ll be sure to check out the best of these entrants!
Good luck folk, hope you all had a nice Valentine’s Weekend. xxx
