Anouncing Pirates of the Caribbean & Water!
2009December 15th
We are proud to announce that the Pirates of the Caribbean Premium Level Kit, along with water, and the Pirates of the Caribbean Costume Kit will be arriving in time for Christmas, on December 22nd!

Rumours say that the fearsome Davy Jones and his mighty Kraken have come to LittleBigPlanet to wreak havoc and claim some sack folk to serve as Davy’s Crew. Once again, it’s going to fall to Sackboy to locate the only ship on LittleBigPlanet that has any chance of sending him back to the bottom of the sea.
Head deep into the Caribbean to battle The East India Trading Company and Pirates alike, find the legendary ship and take on the Kraken. This new kit features a set of six swashbuckling levels, each containing a treasure trove of stickers, decorations, materials, music objects and 11 new trophies.
Find out all about it over on LittleBigPlanet.com where we’ve uploaded videos, screenshots, trailers, renders, wallpapers, and all kinds of useful snippets of info!

This week: Mm Music Pack 1
2009October 5th
Coming to the Playstation Store this week is a new type of pack for LittleBigPlanet – an original music pack! Three brand new fully interactive tracks to enhance your levels with. Here’s our audio guru Kenny to tell us more about them…
These three new interactive tracks each offer something a little bit different to the music that is already available within the LBP universe. ‘Well Trained’ is a blues number, ‘Wise Owl’ is an ambient electronic type t’ing and ‘Tea By The Sea’ is, er, beyond description – it’s kinda Anglo-French Americana. Or something. You need to hear it to know what I mean, but it’s probably my favourite track.
They were all written by Mat Clark at Sonica Studios – Mat wrote most of the original interactive music in LBP (which won a couple of GANG awards for ‘Best Interactive Score’ and ‘Best Instrumental’, not forgetting a BAFTA nomination!), so you know the kind of awesomeness to expect.
Have fun using them in your levels!

Thanks Kenny! Now, as good as descriptions are, when it comes to music there’s nothing like actually hearing the tracks is there? That’s why we cobbled together this preview little video. Mm Music pack 1, coming October 8th priced £2.39 / €2.99 / US $2.99 $3.99 (price corrected).
Oh, it also comes with a few music themed stickers too!
You can also watch this video in HD on YouTube.

Who watches the Watchmen?
2009September 28th
Wow, it’s been a little while since we had any new costumes or stickers to talk about hasn’t it? I know this because my inbox and the various internet forums are both filled with your cries, your demand for more! Well we are here to deliver…
This Thursday, the Watchmen will come to save LittleBigPlanet from hoodwinks, in a new costume kit that allows you to assume the identities of four key characters from the acclaimed graphic novel, and its recent movie adaptation. The costume kit will also come bundled with some Watchmen themed stickers (and the costumes will be available individually too).

So, who does watch the Watchmen then? Hmm, Ambiguous. But I have a more important question:
How many Watchmen would a Watchman watch if a Watchman could watch Watchmen?
Answers on a postcard please!

Vera Bee Sticker pack
2009August 24th
Last month we launched the first of a series of sticker packs made in conjunction with famous art folk that we love and admire, the first of which was from Jon Burgerman, who made a sticker pack that filled the LittleBigPlanet with doodly goodness.
We are proud to announce the second of these sticker packs will arrive on the store this week, this time featuring the burlesque stylings of http://www.verabee.com/bio.html”>Vera Bee. Look at her awesome work now covering this very blog with win!

So keep your eyes peeled this Thursday, 80 stickers from the fabulous Vera Bee, possibly an interview, and a cool trailer too! In the mean time watch this strangely cute-yet-disturbing short film by Vera and her friend Jenn Kluska: Snow-Bo.
