The folks over at VGBlogger have published an article taking a closer look at the 18 player created bonus levels included in the recently released Game of the Year Edition of LittleBig Planet. Man that was a long sentence.

Needless to say, if you have yet to jump on the LBP bandwagon, now’s the time to do it — $60 gets you the full original game and all of these bonuses. And I can’t think of a better companion for new PS3 slim owners than Sackboy!

But what about existing LittleBigPlanet players, creators and sharers who adopted Sackboy as their own from the very beginning – are the 18 bonus levels worth re-buying the game for? Before answering that I suppose I should probably talk about the levels first. Here we go…

Our chums over at Sony have announced the forthcoming Game of the Year edition of LittleBigPlanet, coming to store shelves in North America on September 8th.

This new boxed edition of our favourite game contains everything the original copy did, but also some lovely bonuses, including seven sets of downloadable add on content, exclusive access to the upcoming ModNation RacersOnline beta, AND 18 exclusive levels made by some extremely talented members of the community, complete with video interviews with each of the creators.

I’m afraid to say that there is no current release date for Europe at this time, but hopefully it will wind its way across the seas one day.
