Senior Technical Artist
We are looking for a Senior Technical Artist to come and join our art team at Media Molecule. Media Molecule is known for innovation within creative gaming.
The person we are looking for will need to have the have solid technical knowledge required to work with the Art Director and Programmers & figure out how to deliver innovative looks and the necessary pipelines for the art team.
We are creating games exclusively for PlayStation and so experience using a variety of 3d packages, and having an understanding of the requirements of shipping console games is a must.
We will only consider candidates who are able to provide an up to date show reel and have more than 3 years experience working within a games team in this or a similar role.
Requirements
- A breadth of artistic styles
- An ability to think in 3D
- Drawings/sketches that display their skills as well as any modeling and texture work.
- Excellent sense of form, weight (mass), and volume
- Good use of light and shadow
- An understanding of optimization
- Excellent sense of scale and level of finish
- A background in architecture is an advantage.
