Rob Smith, brother of Mm ubercoder “Yellowhead” Dave brings us photos of the LBP Pop Up Shop from the wilds of Manchester. According to the email the nice people there “get children and business men to draw pictures of sackboy with crayons then play bits of the game and be shown how to make things with Popit. It sounds like they all come away pleasantly baffled.”
Pleasantly baffled is what we at Mm aim for. Well done Manchester!
The shop is open until October 4th and there will be lots of special events and workshops during that time. Click here for more info, and you can see a few more photos here.
Wow. Just got back after an awesome few days at the Leipzig games convention. This was MM’s first large-scale public showing of the game and I think it went pretty well. There seemed to be lots of smiling both from those playing and those watching, which must be a good thing, right?
As ever Libipl.net is doing a sterling job collating links, and you can have a look at our photos by clicking here.
And now for something cute, cuddly and as big as a bear, or a medium sized child at least. This massive sackboy was spotted at the World Hobby Fair in Japan.
Famitsu has a bunch more photos of this strange visitation here: http://www.famitsu.com/game/news/1216819_1124.html
And The Sixth Axis has a couple of screenshots of the custom level we made: http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2008/07/10/play-littlebigplanet/
well that was a fun e3! I really don’t do jet-lag well but the people of america (TM) didn’t seem to mind. THANKS AMERICANS! Nice burgers. We’ll post more updates about e3 soon.
Amidst all the madness on the way home, we were rather shocked to find a pile of nastygrams awaiting us. What could this mean? Did sackboy go out and throw up on someone’s new suede shoes? Ah no, it was merely a case of ye-olde-internet-crossed wires. Fear not, ye peeps of the intertubes, see here for calming balm: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=200029
but of course you’d much rather read something like this and not worry about all of that hot air…
indeed, just take a dip into any other of the articles libipl.net has been collecting, bless them. Right? Lovely. Tea. Drink it. Yummy.
