Meet a Molecule
Jewel Leffley is one of Mm's wonderful Tools Programmers, making everything tick along beautifully in Dreams. She's recently started here with us at Mm Towers, so we thought there's no better time to introduce her to the CoMmunity!
What do you do on Dreams?
I’m a Tools Programmer, working alongside a few others to make sure things everything behind the scenes keeps running smoothly, and helping the rest of the team be more efficient with tooling and automation. I may as well be a ghost to everyone outside the company, because everything I do is done so that you never know I existed in the first place!
What're you looking forward to the CoMmunity doing in Dreams?
I’m really interested in seeing people try things that haven’t been tried before. That, and getting more ambitious in scope and scale, making things I would have never thought possible. I’ve already seen that happen through the Beta and I’m still awestruck at the creations people have managed to make in only six weeks, while still learning the tools; which really excites me for what’s possible in the years after launch.
What do you like to do in Dreams? Do you have a favourite creation?
I haven’t had much time to toy with Dreams personally as I only joined the team around the launch of the Beta; but other than wanting to play what everybody else makes, I’m definitely interested in trying out the sculpting tools with some move controllers at some point. It looks cathartic, and the art I’ve already seen has blown me away.
Favourite food, movie and song, in that order. GO!
I’m thinking Spaghetti Bolognese; or, really, just pasta in general. You can’t go wrong with pasta, right?
Cabin in the Woods. I’m a big psychological horror fan, and it was hard to pick just one movie I liked, but it’s such a good take on the genre.
A bit of a weird pick here for song, but I’d say “Lifetime Achievement Award” from a pretty niche album called “Spirit Phone”. I definitely recommend giving it a listen, it’s worth your while!
Finally, what’s your favourite game?
There’s a few games that keep fighting for that top spot in my head, but I’ve gotta give the award to Zelda: Wind Waker. It’s just so important to me in every aspect
