donut_mutt is one of the most varied creators in the Dreamiverse! One minute they create the adorable Bahto Likes Bones, the next they’ve created the spooktastic Catechism and then deliver Find Jeff for our Monster Madness jam!
Get to know them a little better with our interview below
What do you like to do in the Dreamiverse?
Mostly create games! Dreams is the perfect toolset for me. I love logic but I also love art and Dreams allows me to bounce between those two sides of my brain seamlessly. I can make things up as I go then go back and refine.. in a way I haven't found possible in other tools. But I love finding amazing creations from others too, I'm always blown away by dreams that are super realistic or just perfectly creative.
If you could give other members of the CoMmunity a piece of advice for their time in Dreams, what would it be?
I'm probably echoing advice already given but - do the tutorials! Also, start small. Also, don't be afraid or too proud to use community assets, there are so many great asset creators out there and you'll save so much time!
What was the first thing you created in Dreams?
Oh geez well I was in the beta and I figured Alice in Wonderland was public domain and the perfect dreamy world to tackle and that's where I learned I should have started small haha. It's crazy to think how much faster I've become with Dreams since then. All it takes is practice!
Favourite food, movie and song, in that order. GO!
Burritos, like, just wrap a bunch of good stuff all together, it's so efficient! So many favorite movies but.. in the realm of dreams I guess Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.. love all of Michel Gondy's work! Song, dang the hardest question! I think one that always pops in my head is "Passenger" by iggy pop. It just reminds me of more chill times. But also everyone check out Les Savy Fav and Purity Ring and like.. so many other great bands!
How can people find you in the Dreamiverse?
Check out Ineradicable FATE, Catechism, I'm often somewhere in the jam entries ... And be on the lookout for my huge action rpg project that I'm planning to drop within the next couple of weeks.. which has no name yet.. dang this is a missed opportunity!
