Tearaway Concept Art: Tent

Another piece of concept art from the Tearaway vaults, this one by artist, Men Lu. Once again, I asked Rex to give us some background on it...

This scene was composed by Men Lu. It shows the main character in their tent (at that point they hadn't become iota or atoi, which is why they have bird feet!). I love how papery this scene is. It's not about the details, its about the overall impression. One of my favourite things is how the clouds seem to be casting a shadow on the sky - which gives it a very theatrical feel, I guess a little like we did with LBP of hanging the clouds on strings. Its a representation of a sky, rather than a real sky!
